Proper Electrical GFCI BREAKER Hook Up

50 AMP GFCI BREAKER

This is a picture of a 50 AMP GFCI Breaker which is used on 240 Volt, single pump systems. A 60 AMP GFCI Breaker should be used is systems that use 2 pumps.   The breaker has a White Pig Tail  which will go to the NEUTRAL BAR on the Main Electrical Box.  The breaker also has three (3) lug nuts in which two (2) are HOT leads on each side, and a NEUTRAL lead which is the center lug.  A GROUND lead will come off the Main Electrical Box to the SPA along with 2 HOT LEADS and the white NEUTRAL wire coming from the 50 AMP BREAKER.

IMPORTANT: Spas with 2 Pump Systems with a Blower, Heater, and Ozonator will use a 60 AMP GFCI Breaker and 6 Gauge Wire.

IMPORTANT - This service must be single phase. HIGH VOLTAGE can seriously injure or kill.  Qualified and licensed electrician must perform all electrical hook ups.
